This is an absolutely insane lineup, and it’s a flat-out must-see. Trivium’s The Crown in The Grave tour brings a stacked bill across North America this winter, and wherever it lands closest to you, that’s the night to circle.
Trivium announced The Crown in The Grave, a Fall 2026 North American headline tour, running November 5 in St. Petersburg through December 19 in Charlotte, with In Flames, Orbit Culture, Fit For An Autopsy, and Frozen Soul in tow. The band is framing it as the unofficial start of their next era, with new music coming soon and plans to debut some of it on stage. It’s also the first proper headline run with Alex Rüdinger behind the kit. Presales start today (July 21) at 10am local; general tickets go on sale Friday, July 24.
The theming on the poster is giving me Shogun vibes, right down to the oni mask and the tri-force symbol straight off that era. If the new music pulls from that same well, we’re in good shape. Shogun (2008) is still the record a lot of us point to when we argue Trivium belong among metal’s elite, and they’ve spent the years since earning that spot the hard way. A “new era” teaser can be empty marketing. From a band this consistent, it reads more like a promise.
Then there’s the undercard. In Flames as a support act is a full-circle moment: Trivium have called them an early influence, and now they’re headlining over one of the bands that shaped them. Orbit Culture, Fit For An Autopsy, and Frozen Soul round it out, and here’s the thing, I’d gladly pay to see any of those three on a solo headline tour. That’s not a warm-up bill. That’s four sets worth showing up early for. Kudos to Trivium for putting it together.
