I Was There for TesseracT. Plini Stole It.
I was at a coffee shop in Berkeley when the barista tried to call out an order. The name on the cup was Plini. She went through every variation she could come up with — Plinai, Plinee, you name it — before the person waiting finally said his own name out loud. I turned around. It was him.
A few hours later, he opened for TesseracT at the UC Theatre up the street. I was there for TesseracT. Plini stole the show. Not long after Handmade Cities dropped, I watched him win over a crowd that hadn’t come for him. Blew my socks off.
Now he’s headlining that same UC Theatre. November 6. That’s the full circle.
Plini has announced the An Unnameable Desire North American Tour — 28 dates running from October through November, with Night Verses and Portraits in support. Tickets on sale June 5 at plini.co.

Los Angeles gets November 8 at The Fonda Theatre. SoCal also has San Diego (Oct 6) and Ventura (Nov 7) if you want options. The run hits every major market — NYC, Philly, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver.
An Unnameable Desire is Plini’s third full-length, out April 24. Night Verses supporting is exactly the right call — two acts that make prog feel urgent without a vocalist to carry it.
Plini is a must-see live band for any prog metal fan. Get your tickets. It’s gonna be a good one.
