I reviewed Castle Rat at House of Blues Anaheim a couple weeks ago and walked out a convert. Now they’re announcing their biggest headline run yet — 20 dates coast to coast with Unto Others and Wraith Knight along for the ride. The October 1 date at The Belasco in DTLA is the local stop, and this is exactly the kind of show WKM was built to put on your radar. Tickets on sale Friday.

MiW announced the fall extension of the Sweat and Blood Tour this morning and rebuilt the support bill completely — Dayseeker, The Devil Wears Prada, and Dark Divine instead of the summer lineup. October 30 through late November, East and Midwest focused, no SoCal stop on this leg. Presale is live now; general on-sale is Friday. If you’re anywhere in that corridor, the package is stacked.

Already covered in full last night, but it belongs in the roundup: Mastodon are back out for 27 dates with Deafheaven and Alcest. SoCal gets two back-to-back stops — October 10 at Hollywood Palladium and October 11 at The Sound in Del Mar. Tickets on sale Friday.
