Everybody’s Touring, Nobody’s Coming West
Three of the best underground tour announcements of the month landed in the same stretch of days, and two of them stop about fourteen hundred miles short of my house. Exhumed is the exception, and they saved Santa Ana for the very last night of the run. I’ll take what I can get.
Exhumed — The Long and Grinding Road 2026 Part 2: Redder Asphalt (Relapse)

Red Asphalt landed earlier this year and it is exactly the record Exhumed should be making three and a half decades in: fast, gleefully stupid, completely uninterested in growing up. This is the second leg, twenty five dates, and Ross Sewage framed it as coming back to crash the party in towns they only did a drive by on last time. December 6th at the Constellation Room is the final night of the whole run. A tour closer is either a victory lap or a wreck, and with this band either one works.

Xasthur — Go & Do Something Witchy Tour 2026
with Temple of the Fuzz Witch
Here is the part that bugs me. Xasthur has always been a California project. Scott Conner built it in the San Gabriel Valley in the late nineties, and this routing opens in Columbus and dies in Dallas without coming within a thousand miles of home. Thirteen dates, all of them east. Open To Misinterpretation is out October 2nd and more dates are supposedly being added, so the West Coast leg might still show up. Might.

Eyehategod — Fall Tour 2026

The headliner is not the story on this one. BL’AST! are out with Nick Oliveri singing under his Rex Everything name, and Luicidal is built around original Suicidal Tendencies members. So that is a Santa Cruz band and a Venice band on the same California hardcore bill, routed through Oklahoma City and Haltom City and nowhere near California. Cavity fills out Chicago, Indianapolis and Hamtramck. Thirteen dates, billed as Eyehategod’s last US run of the year.
