Enough Teasing. Give Us Real Dates.
Ozzfest is coming to the UK and the US. We know. What we still don’t have is a single date, a headliner, or a ticket link, and I’m getting a little tired of having this teased our way.
The festival’s Instagram just posted a new graphic: “Ozzfest will come to the UK and US.” That’s the whole announcement. It’s another announcement to have an announcement. Sharon Osbourne already said back in March that Ozzfest would “absolutely” return in 2027. On August 17, the festival confirmed Villa Park in Birmingham, with “more info on everything coming soon.” A month later, there are still no UK dates and no US venue at all.
This one matters more than a normal festival cycle. It will be the first Ozzfest without Ozzy, who died in July 2025, weeks after his final show at that same Villa Park. Starting the next chapter in Birmingham is the right call. But a tribute still needs a calendar. People need real dates so they can plan around it: flights, time off, money set aside.
So here’s my bet for the US side: Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino. It holds 65,000 people, it’s the largest outdoor music venue in the country, and it has hosted Ozzfest over and over, going all the way back to the very first one in 1996. I have great memories out there. I went in 2002, and again in 2017 for the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest combo. If Ozzfest comes back to America, that lawn is where it belongs.
Is it a lock? No. The last US Ozzfest was indoors at the Forum on New Year’s Eve 2018, and the UK show is in a football stadium, so a stadium play here wouldn’t shock me.
