Respect. Still Not Buying a Ticket.
When this hit my feed, I literally had to look up who Denzel Curry was. I thought it might be a hardcore band I’d somehow slept on. Nope — he’s a rapper.
Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry have announced the “Hive Mind” co-headlining tour — 24 dates across North America this fall, kicking off September 26 in Newport, KY and running through November 8 in Mexico City. The run builds on their collaborative single “Hive Mind,” which dropped in February. Support comes from Superheaven and Boundaries. Presale starts June 2; general on-sale is June 4 via Ticketmaster.
Kudos to Knocked Loose for actually doing something interesting here. This isn’t booking a heavier touring partner — it’s a full co-headline run with a hip-hop act, equal billing, equal time on stage. That’s a real statement. But what’s the risk they’re running? I don’t have interest in seeing this tour. Not because Denzel Curry is bad — it’s just not my thing. Will other Knocked Loose fans feel the same way?
I saw Knocked Loose open for Slipknot a couple of years ago and they were fantastic live — one of the best opening acts I’ve seen. If you haven’t caught them yet, maybe this is the opportunity. Just know what you’re walking into.
