Glenn Doesn’t Check Calendars

Danzig just booked the SoCal leg of his fall tour on the exact same night Iron Maiden, Megadeth, and Anthrax are playing BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Nobody told him this was a bad idea. He’s Danzig.

The announcement dropped on his Instagram: a seven-date fall run with Twin Temple opening, built around a Louder Than Life appearance in Louisville on September 17. It wraps September 26 in Anaheim — the same night Iron Maiden runs through LA with Megadeth (final US tour) and Anthrax in support. That’s a 22,000-capacity stadium show in the same metro on the same night. Half the SoCal Danzig crowd isn’t coming.

There’s a story from 2011 where Danzig spent two-plus hours outside his house throwing bricks into a dumpster while cursing at no one. No context. No explanation. Just Glenn, his bricks, and complete indifference to how it looked. Booking a headlining show on the same night as the biggest metal bill of the year is in town is the same energy — and I genuinely can’t tell if he knows about the conflict or doesn’t care, and I’m not sure which one would be more Danzig.

Twin Temple is a legitimately good fit here. Their Satanic doo-wop thing plays against Danzig’s occult catalog in a way most support slots wouldn’t dare try. The run makes sense. September 26 in Anaheim does not.
