Amorphis and Insomnium, North American Co-Headline Tour 2026, support Hinayana.

Two Big Names, One Good Room

Two big names on one bill, and LA gets it at the Regent. I’ll be straight with you: I don’t have a deep history with either of these bands. But I’ve been going to shows at that theater for the better part of ten years, and I know a good get when I see one land there.

Amorphis and Insomnium are co-headlining North America this fall, 25 dates running from November 17 in Boston through December 19 in New York, with Texas melodic death outfit Hinayana opening. Los Angeles gets December 5 at The Regent Theater. Amorphis is still out behind Borderland, released September 2025 on Reigning Phoenix Music. Insomnium’s Netherworlds lands October 16 via Century Media, which means they’ll be six weeks into a brand new record by the time this thing hits town.

Tour Dates

11/17 — Boston, MA, Paradise Rock Club
11/23 — Chicago, IL, House of Blues
12/02 — Seattle, WA, The Showbox Market
12/05 — Los Angeles, CA, The Regent Theater
12/09 — Dallas, TX, Granada Theater
12/19 — New York, NY, Irving Plaza
25 dates total. Full routing at the bands’ official pages.

Here’s what makes it worth a ticket. Co-headline means nobody is the opener. Both bands get a real set, and you’re not showing up at 7pm to catch half an hour of one of them before the room fills in for the other. Amorphis has been going since 1990 and spent 35 years drifting out of death metal into something moodier and stranger without ever putting the weight down. Insomnium built an entire career on melodies that actually hurt. Put them on one stage and you get three hours of Finnish gloom, which in December is either exactly what you want or it very much isn’t.

The Regent’s sloped floor means you’ll see the whole thing from wherever you end up standing. For two bands that trade on atmosphere instead of spectacle, that’s the right room for it.

I’m not making this one. Somebody go and tell me how it was.
