Who writes this. Weapon K Media is an independent metal publication based in Los Angeles. Reviews and features are written by Weapon K (founder). No content is syndicated or rewritten from press releases.
Reviews. Albums are scored out of 10 after full listens. Live reviews are written only for shows we attended. A promo copy or press pass never buys a score — labels and PR firms that send music to press@weaponkmedia.com accept that the review may be negative.
News. News posts name their source and link to it. We verify against the original announcement (band, label, or venue) before publishing. If a story is unconfirmed, we say so.
Corrections. When we get something wrong, we fix the article and note the correction. Errors can be flagged to press@weaponkmedia.com.
Independence. Weapon K Media has no parent company, no label affiliation, and no advertorial content. If that ever changes, sponsored content will be labeled as such.
AI. Drafting tools are used in production; every opinion, score, and review is human — someone listened to the record, someone stood in the room.
