Don’t Wait for the Resale
Spite is one of the premier deathcore bands touring today, and this fall run is your second chance to see it for yourself. The band just announced a new round of US dates behind New World Killer, their most recent album, after a spring and early summer run that did real damage.
When Spite hit Southern California in the spring, the Glass House in Pomona was truly sold out. Not “a few singles left” sold out. Not a single resale ticket was available for anybody to buy. And from the videos going around social media afterward, it was an absolute blast. That is the kind of demand most deathcore bands never get, and Spite is getting it.
The fall leg runs 22 dates through October, opening at Aftershock in Sacramento on the 2nd and closing October 31st in Colorado Springs, exactly one year after New World Killer dropped last Halloween. Stick To Your Guns handles main support, with No Cure and Vomit Forth rounding out an undercard that swings from hardcore to straight death metal. There is a Furnace Fest stop in Birmingham on the 10th too.
Here is the thing about Spite: the vocals. Darius Tehrani has one of the most unique voices in the space, and it is a big reason these guys are becoming one of the biggest voices in the metal scene, not just their corner of it. New World Killer is the album that pushed them there. If you have not spent real time with it, do that before the tour.
For us, the date that matters is October 5th at the Observatory in Santa Ana. I’ll be there. This is absolutely worth the ticket, and I would rather you grab one now than get shut out the way Pomona shut people out. Check out New World Killer, and hope to see you in Santa Ana.
