Iron Reagan just surprise-dropped DEMONETIZATION on every streaming platform, and Iron Reagan rules. Six songs. Ten minutes. That’s the whole EP. This is a real return to old school crossover thrash, and that just gets me excited.
The facts: the EP is out now via Relapse Records. It’s the band’s first new music since their 2019 split with Sacred Reich, and their first release since 2014 with the full original lineup intact now that original bassist Paul Burnette has rejoined. Their last full-length was 2017’s Crossover Ministry. Tony Foresta calls this “some of our strongest/heaviest material we’ve done to date.” A vinyl pressing lands September 18. The limited splatter variant already sold out, but the “Assassin” marble is still up at Relapse.
Six songs in ten minutes isn’t a gimmick. It’s the format doing what crossover thrash was built to do: get in, rip, get out. It’s super unique in 2026 precisely because nobody makes records like this anymore, and it’s exactly the type of stuff that rarely gets covered by the big boys.
Iron Reagan is also a lot of fun live, and you can catch them right now. They’re out with Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, and Havok through June 27, plus Fest 24 in Gainesville this October. The LA stop is the Hollywood Palladium on June 25.
