Set Your Alarms for Friday
Tuesday decided to act like a Friday. Three tours announced in a single day, all three route through SoCal, and every one of them goes on sale the same morning — Friday, June 12, 10AM local. Set your alarms.
Nekrogoblikon — 20 Years of Nekrogoblikon
with Aborted · Signs of the Swarm · Party Cannon

Twenty years of goblin metal is not a sentence I expected to type, but here we are, and Nekrogoblikon outlasting half the bands that took themselves seriously says everything. The supporting bill is genuinely unhinged in the best way: Aborted bringing two-plus decades of Belgian death metal, Signs of the Swarm bringing the deathcore, and Party Cannon bringing the inflatables. The run wraps November 15 at the Belasco — closing night of an anniversary tour is exactly the show you want to be at, and Ventura Theater the night before if DTLA isn’t your thing. The new EP The Boiling Sea (produced by Jason Suecof) dropped in April, and the dual-vocal lineup has the band sounding meaner than a goblin band has any right to.

Crown Magnetar + To The Grave — The Sawed Off Suffering Tour
with Face Yourself · rotating support from Backbiter, Tracheotomy, Squelching, I Declare War & Ameonna

The heaviest package of the day. Crown Magnetar and To The Grave co-headlining with a rotating cast of openers per leg — LA gets I Declare War at the Echoplex on October 10. Crown Magnetar also just added Rob Maramonte (ex-Zenith Passage, ex-Fallujah) on guitar, which is a serious pickup for a band already this precise. If the other two tours on this page are too clean for you, this is your show.
