The Fall Is Already Getting Expensive

I reviewed A Pale White Dot two weeks ago. Gave it a 6. I’d still see Periphery every time the room is right — and House of Blues Anaheim is exactly that. Then Hatebreed drops a Summer Slaughter leg the same morning with one of the better undercards you’ll see on a touring bill this year. Tuesday delivered.

House of Blues · Anaheim, CA · Nov 10

A 6/10 record on this site and I’m going anyway — that’s what a Periphery live show is. A Pale White Dot is going to hit differently in a room, and 20 cities with a tight package like this doesn’t come around that often. Ne Obliviscaris are one of the most technically impressive live bands in progressive metal right now. Greyhaven belong on a bill this size. Presales open tomorrow, general on-sale Friday May 29.

Hatebreed — Summer Slaughter Tour 2026 (Second Leg)

with Terror · Incantation · Gates to Hell · Torture · Creeping Death

Summer Slaughter Tour 2026 Part 2 — Hatebreed, Terror, Incantation, Gates to Hell, Torture, Creeping Death

Hatebreed headlining Summer Slaughter is right. The franchise usually runs death metal — Devourment is headlining the first 2026 leg this summer — but Hatebreed have always lived in the space between hardcore and metal, and this package makes sense in both directions. The undercard earns its own discussion: Incantation are one of death metal’s foundational acts and they’re still relentless live, Creeping Death are the real deal, and throwing Terror into the mix is a statement about where hardcore and metal’s Venn diagram actually sits right now. Hatebreed also has a new album coming this fall — their first fully independent record, and Jasta says it’s the heaviest thing they’ve done. If he’s right, this is exactly when you want to be on the road. Clear August 23rd.
